pique nique with reason to nitpick
First floor of Takashimaya.
Right next to KFC.
Under the Sugar Daddy Pte Ltd group helmed by Chef Pang of Canele/ Antoinette.
First time i'm seeing middle aged male waitstaff in a laidback bistro.
It was just a random observation that was made by all three of us.
As it turned out,
they became my reason to nitpick.
They were generally uninterested.
We stood in line and no one came to ask us for the number of pax.
Until I walked in to offer that information.
There was a table for two that just vacated, he just skipped us and offered the table to the diners behind us.
Have you heard of adding on an extra chair?
Or is there an SOP to follow regarding seat arrangements?
When we eventually got a seat, I was in the midst of a text and my girlfriends were all ready to go.
I simply nodded when he asked if we would follow him.
My girlfriends said their thanks and were all ready to go.
he simply waited and when I didn't look up,
I was met with a
"So are YOU ALL ready?"
Thanks for the personalized service.
If u stayed to listen to my reply,
it would have been a
"No, I'm not. I'd like to continue standing in a queue that I've been in for forty minutes because I like to text standing up."
And there's nothing else like dessert to make me forget about being catty. :)
A slice of red velvet at $8.55.
That's too dear.
For a slice of cake.
I didn't try it but my girlfriends had problems finishing it.
Too sweet they say.
Iced chocolate with a marshmallow cloud.
Cocoa powder only.
Make a request for some sugar syrup and milk if you need to.
And for this.
I forgive you.
Vanilla ice cream and chantilly cream.
On the most delicious waffle i've had to date.
Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
I would have this all to myself for a meal.
Meal replacement diet they say? :)
