this was dinner on sunday night. it was supposed to be minced pork and mushroom noodle. but then we parked right outside thomson prata house. and daddy decided he wanted to be unhealthy. i didnt have the heart to stop him from wandering in. so i had indian rojak. while the rest of the world had lots of kosongs and chicken curry. yup. my family's my whole world :) well. whatever daddy wants before he leaves for the week again. sigh.
people >>>>>> important than food. :) first time away from the usual sushi place. we filled our tummies. but it just didn't feel the same. i missed sakae. i know zek did. n cassieboo? we're definitely sakae-ing sometime. :) and the art of groooovy goldmining. :) cassie did the honours cos goli's not back yet. i was just too tired today. just 5 kids. and they totally whacked me out. we did play whacko. :) and capts ball. which i absolutely suck at. and i wonder why tim always yelled at me over capts ball. :p but i liked my night out. ALOT. whee.

so today was gor gor's wedding day. mr jimmy chan and miss felicia lam. he's the strong silent type, she's the little princess bubbly type. that worked out to a 11 year dating relationship. :) that's last year of poly, thru his ns days, her degree days over in aust and working life till now. very sweet. daddy and mummy were really happy to drink the wedding tea. i wish i could make them smile like that. it makes me sad. knowing that they might never get to drink of that.
the wedding dinner was at grand plaza park hotel. tucked away next to peninsula plaza. it's a quaint hotel. nondescript. daddy went to another wedding dinner at m hotel. conincidentally, for both gor gors' weddings, it was just mummy and i. and they had lovely food. we've had it all. lobster, sharks fin, abalone, scallops, cereal prawns, steamed freshwater fish and herbal chicken. yum. i hope they had a lovely night. i know mummy and i did. :)

mama yeo is very cute. dont you think? :) child-like. not childish. we've both got red spots on our noses. i think it's heaty-ness and the stress. sigh. we're gonna look like clowns at the wedding tmrw. :/ and just because you can see that i cut my hair in this shot :) the colors look vaguely surreal. can you guess where?
seoul garden! can you believe. they are now sleek. and much more considerate for the world. no longer will you splatter oil on yourself unecessarily. :) the day was a mad rush. but thank God for times like these when i can just settle down and enjoy my food with my girlfriend. erm. too much meats didn't go down too well with the tummy. hahaha. lots of veggies and mushrooms tho. :)

accidents happen. they come in a pair. on my right hand. for roughly 36 cupcakes. i guess that's not such a bad thing. my lil bro's a gd kitchen assistant. he puts on this faux bossy voice and says: "didnt i tell you to use two tea towels to handle the trays? see? now you get burnt. are you okay?" i like having my lil brother in the kitchen :) he's getting pretty apt at taking macro food shots. ditto the ones on the left n right. i took the one right in the middle :) of course he helped more than that. he helped in sifting flour & swirling the nutella in. where would you find a lil brother like that :) the older one? he just strolls in to eat. that's a really big role to play. hahaha.
and we baked today because it was my lil twin's birthday. grandpa thought it was cute that she hopped down from the car and gave me a big hug in the rain. even though i was stinky from all the baking. :) and she loved them. (she'll love them even if they were bad) they drove down from the east to the north just for these. i wish i made them better. but this was a first.
and then there was dinner. hc's birthday was ytd. so there's his miserable cupcake as a stand-in cake :( he liked it tho. and ate it even though he was coughing his lungs out. i like ichiban boshi. they have yummy food at affordable prices. and i liked the company. and christmas lights. and daddy driving me home. :) it was a good day. i hope you liked the cupcake.

guess what? :)
our day out in jb. on official business. haircuts for the boys for the wedding this coming weekend and a visit to our favourite optician for josh and i. my eyes have deteriorated. it is tragic. hahaha.
dinner tonight and last night. last night was takeout. we were too knackered after a massive jam for an hour and a half no less on the causeway. i miss takeout zi char at bkt merah. dinner tonight was dine in :) hooked on heads. the parents are hooked. daddy drenched his rice in assam curry. hahaha. it was a good dinner :) i wish i got to fry my bumchigae though. :/
i guess the plan really is to buy my own place. only for the fact that i can't just buy a kitchen. :)

what does such a sweet girl like her have to do with me? she can sign for my visa purchases if she wanted to :) and how did we first meet? let's try to do this from what i remember:

simin (taps my shoulder): "hi! (very happy grin. very cute and bubbly. puts out her hand for a handshake) what's your name?"
me (turns around): "szemin. (apprehensive smile. not very friendly. you should leave me alone. shakes hand anyway)"
s: "oh! (smiles even wider) my name is simin too! (giggles happily)"
m: "oh. (erm. how do i be a nice antisocial?) really? well. hello." (turns back to face the front)

HAHAHA. that's the first day we met and fell in love. yeah right. how can you not love a girl like that. so beneath that unfriendly facade i have. (i felt bad and i did attempt to talk to her afterward. altho i cannot remember how it was like. do you?) and that's 3 months of the same classes that we shared. but the story doesnt end in 3.

hey twin, so that was 6 years ago. can you believe :) we have had our fair share of random dates. remember snoopy place times many? :) and our very hot nokia 8850s. :) but it's always just the twins on dates. spending hours on end together is never an issue. she's an angel. God proved it again this month. thanks for the call dear. it was a welcome respite from all that sch has been piling onto me. and it's the first time i've enjoyed my food in a long time. i really appreciate you. :) love,
meet mr. well. meet pieces of mr. i havent thought of a name. 'm glad i had this to occupy my time yesterday. so the exam has come and gone. one more day of sch left. and then i'm off for the hols. why am i not excited? i wish you were part of the hols. i wish for too much.

this was the last assignment that took the life out of me. 60% and a few months working on it. i'm just glad it's over and done with. :) it was fun. my brother helped. look at the lovely snake! :)

yesterday night we had a cookout. well. cook in. for my 5th granduncle. he's a sailor. he only comes home from time to time. so grandma wanted him to have some good food to eat. so there's glutinous rice from my aunt in law, curry chicken and kong ba pau from my grandma and beehoon from me. :) it was a good dinner. just family. lazing around and talking. well. there was the clean up part that almost broke my back but let's not get into the boring part of it. haha.what desserts are made of. b&js, awfully chocolate cake. just because. and mangoes from thailand. :)

and then there was dinner tonight. i like cooking. but i dont know if i can really afford to cook right now. but i do it anyway. :) what puts a smile on my face. God makes things beautiful. i dont know why you do what you do.

cooked lunch and dinner on saturday. a mad rush day. to clear out the shelves in my study room when it's obviously not a good time for me- given all the work that's yet to be cleared for the week. in any case, it was a good saturday. 2.5 hours of work saw the girls finish cut outs for the teddy bears and great fellowship and sharing :) i like young adult secret meetings. haha. the poor teddies are probably not gonna materialize till a long time yet. :/
uncle ek was in town on sunday night so daddy went out for dinner with him. well. we had to have dinner too right? so botak jones it was! you know how it is when time is of the essence and you just feel a tad suicidal? i wanted a quick dinner or no dinner. just to rush my work. but then, family's more important than staring at my laptop forever. i dont think botak jones is anything to rave about. but if you're feeling like some us style diner food, they do well. :) the irony is that some ppl think it's hard rock cafe food at hawker centre prices.

and because i'm loved, i get mee goreng from queen's close. :) the papa yeo spoils me.
no time to breathe. but i had time to take a while to smile when i came upon your drawings.
